Our commitment to excellence ensures that our participants receive comprehensive, top-quality education and are equipped with the necessary skills to excel as full spectrum doulas.

Below are the professional standards that guide our program:

Full Spectrum Doula Training:

Our "Not Your Average Doula!" Training Program is designed to provide participants with a holistic understanding of doula care across the full spectrum of reproductive experiences. We cover various aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, loss, and abortion support, fostering a comprehensive skill set that enables doulas to serve clients with diverse needs and experiences.

Online and Self-Paced Format:

Recognizing the need for flexibility, our training program is 100 percent online and self-paced. This structure allows participants to study at their own convenience, accommodating various schedules and commitments. Our comprehensive online resources include instructional materials, video modules, interactive quizzes, and virtual simulations to provide an engaging learning experience.

Estimated Completion Time:

On average, participants can complete the "Not Your Average Doula!" Training Program in approximately 2 to 6 months, depending on individual learning pace and dedication. This duration ensures that participants receive sufficient time to absorb the curriculum thoroughly, preparing them for their future roles as competent and compassionate doulas.

Continuing Education Requirements:

We understand the significance of continuous professional development in maintaining the highest standards of doula care. As such, we require our doulas to renew their certification every three years. However, to provide flexibility, we do not mandate traditional Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for recertification. Instead, we encourage participants to engage in a diverse range of learning opportunities, such as workshops, conferences, online courses, and relevant volunteer work.

Comprehensive Curriculum:

Our curriculum is carefully crafted by experienced professionals and experts in the field of maternal and child health. It covers a wide range of topics, including prenatal care, childbirth preparation, labor support techniques, postpartum care, bereavement support, abortion support, cultural competency, ethics, and business practices. We aim to ensure that our doulas are well-prepared to address the unique needs of their clients and provide empathetic and informed support.

Trained and Experienced Instructors:

Our instructors are highly qualified and possess significant experience as doulas, educators, or healthcare professionals. They are dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, offering personalized guidance and feedback to each participant.

Diversity and Inclusion:

We are committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity within our training program. Our curriculum emphasizes cultural competency and sensitivity, encouraging doulas to respect and honor the unique beliefs, practices, and backgrounds of their clients.

By upholding these professional standards, Rayn Health and Wellness ensures that our "Not Your Average Doula!" We strive to produce doulas who are knowledgeable, compassionate, and committed to empowering individuals during their reproductive journeys.

"Not Your Average Doula!" Doula Training Program

Grievance Procedure

At Rayn Health and Wellness, we are committed to providing a positive and respectful learning experience for all clients, providers, and participants in our "Not Your Average Doula!" Doula Training Program. We understand that concerns or grievances may arise from time to time, and we value the opportunity to address them promptly and fairly. This Grievance Procedure outlines the steps for clients, providers, or others to raise and resolve grievances related to our training program:

Step 1: Informal Resolution

If a client, provider, or participant has a grievance, they are encouraged to address the matter informally first. This can be achieved by discussing the concern with the person involved, such as the instructor, program coordinator, or a staff member of Rayn Health and Wellness. We strive to create an open and supportive environment where individuals feel comfortable expressing their concerns.

Step 2: Formal Grievance Submission

If an informal resolution does not adequately address the grievance or if the individual is uncomfortable discussing the matter directly with the involved party, they may choose to submit a formal written grievance. The formal grievance should be submitted in writing and should include the following information:

  •  Name of the person submitting the grievance

  • Contact information (email and phone number)

  • Description of the grievance, including specific details and relevant dates

  • Steps taken to resolve the grievance informally, if applicable

The formal grievance should be sent to the following address:

Rayn Health and Wellness

info@rhawconsulting.com

470.231.6202

Step 3: Review and Response

Upon receiving a formal grievance, Rayn Health and Wellness will promptly review the matter to assess its validity and determine appropriate actions. We will acknowledge the receipt of the grievance within 48-72 business hours and provide an estimated timeframe for the resolution process. The review may involve gathering relevant information, speaking with involved parties, and considering the circumstances surrounding the grievance.

Step 4: Resolution and Communication

Rayn Health and Wellness will work diligently to address and resolve the grievance in a fair and timely manner. Once the investigation is complete, we will communicate the outcome and any actions taken to the individual who submitted the grievance. We are committed to maintaining confidentiality throughout the process to the extent permitted by law.

Step 5: Appeal Process

If the individual is not satisfied with the resolution provided in Step 4, they may choose to appeal the decision. The appeal should be submitted in writing and clearly outline the reasons for the appeal. The appeal will be reviewed by an impartial third party designated by Rayn Health and Wellness, and their decision will be final.

Rayn Health and Wellness is dedicated to continuous improvement and creating a supportive learning environment. We take grievances seriously and are committed to addressing them promptly and fairly. Our goal is to ensure that all participants in the "Not Your Average Doula!" Doula Training Program have a positive and enriching experience.
